Interesting: Theatre Adaptation
Looks like they've adapted The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time for theatre in New York. Interesting.
This sounds a bit weird, but good. I kind of feel as if the play (and the movie that's planned) will be much weaker than the book because we really can't get into Chris' mind. His mind is a wonderful and complex place filled with many different quirks that can't really be imagined into visuals that well. Other than that, It'd be interesting to see the stage adaptation.
I agree with Zach. If they maybe had a narrator for Christopher or something, it might help give the effect. It will be difficult to replicate. I think it could be quite funny though. They'll really need to plan and show talent and creativeness for this to work. The book and story is completely based off Christopher's mind. It's an extremely important element. Good luck to them.
